North - Knik River and Hatcher Pass

Starting Location

For this tour, you guide and private driver will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Anchorage. With a brief orientation of the vehicle and safety information you’ll be off to see Anchorage in a whole new way. Choose from one of the following hiking locations as your half day adventure.

Knik River Banks

The first stop on this tour is on the banks of the Knik River. This glacially fed river runs for miles and with a little bit of off road trails we get right next to this massive river for stunning photos

Short Waterfall Hike (optional)

After we leave the Knik’s riverside there is an optional 30 minute waterfall hike that lets you look over the MatSu Vally. This hike is short but it is not for the faint harted. With obsticles and its steep incline it makes for a medium to strenuous hike.

Hatcher Pass

Hatcher Pass is one of Alaskas old and abandoned gold mining towns. Truly one of the states hidden gems. With its rolling mountains and a great spot to spot our state bird, the ptarmigan. There are amazing views here. With picturesque backdrops and having a landscape spiderwebbed with trails makes this a true Alaskan “go to”.

Lunch

Of course, with your driver guide also having a background in the food and beverage industry and a culinary degree there is a freshly prepared and warm meal just before heading back to your hotel and onto your next Alaskan adventure.
