Flagstop Farm Tour

For over 60 years a tiny blue cabin has nestled in a small, glacial valley of the vast and nearly untouched wilderness of Alaska’s Upper Susitna Valley. From this cabin homesteaders Clyde and Mary carved a small farm to feed their family and establish their place in Alaska’s history. To this day the tiny blue cabin operates as a working homestead, as deep in the wilderness as the day it was staked.
Now operated by Clyde and Mary’s granddaughters, Flagstop Farm grows market vegetables for the nearest town, Talkeetna, and sends them down to market using the only road in the valley– the Alaska Railroad.
